Be Where Your Feet Are

How much of your day is spent thinking about the future? Or replaying the past? If you’re like most people, it’s probably more than you realize.

But here’s the real question: how much time do you actually spend in the present? Fully in the moment.

It’s easy to slip into problem-solving mode. Thinking about what’s coming, analyzing what went wrong, worrying about what needs fixing, or wondering what's to come. That mental noise is hard to dampen, much less turn off.

This week's theme is to Be Where Your Feet Are.

This means be present. Put everything else aside and be in the moment. Whether your prospecting during the Call Star Club, meeting with a client, or strategizing with a referral partner, be present. Resist the temptation of any distraction and focus on what's in front of you. I promise, you'll be more efficient and effective.

I’m writing this from an airport terminal as we get ready to kick off the 2025 Pfeiffer Pfamily Summer Vacation. We’re heading to the Pacific Northwest for a week of site seeing. Seattle will be our home base as we hit three national parks during the week. My mission is to "be where my feet are"... and where my family's feet are.

Whether you’re working or taking time off, be where your feet are. If you’re with your family, be all in. If you’re working, lock in and stay on task.

Distraction has a cost and we all know how easily it creeps in and robs us of the moment.

And, if you want a little inspiration to carry this message with you, here’s the Jason Mraz music video for “Be Where Your Feet Are.”
